Oberlin Friends Meeting (Quakers)

  • We gather in silent worship, awaiting the presence of the Spirt and open to whether or how we may be led to speak or pray or share.
  • If you are led to share vocal ministry through speech or song, please use a strong, clear voice -- standing if you are able -- so that all may hear.
  • Please leave several minutes of contemplation and silence between the sharing of another and any message you wish to share.
  • Meeting is a time for worship, not a time for conversation or debate; worshippers do not usually respond specifically to the message of another.
  • We ask that you make every effort to arrive on time.  Late arrivals disrupt the centering meditation of others.
